Welcome to Chasing Spring. To say that I’m excited about our upcoming turkey-hunting odyssey would be an understatement. Our plan is to bring you all aspects of spring gobbler hunting to you as it happens–the good, the bad and the ugly.
The journey begins in February with “Chasing Spring” seminars at major sports shows and conventions.
Of course, we have some great hunts lined up for 2011. Our hunt begins in Florida for Osceolas, then to Tennessee with the organization “Kids Hunting for a Cure” for St. Jude’s Children Hospital. From there, it’s on to Kansas for Rios at the Governor’s one-shot celebrity turkey hunt and then Merriam’s in Wyoming near Devils tower at the Old West Invitational Turkey hunt.
One of the most exciting adventures will be our trip to Guatemala in search of the elusive Ocellated turkey. Missouri, Iowa, Illinois, New York, New England, and possibly Maine will end our journey as we finish 2011 “Chasing Spring” the first of June.
