Remington 700 Anniversary
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Model 700, Remington is producing a limited run of special edition rifles. These 700s are chambered in 7mm Rem. Mag., the cartridge that debuted with the iconic action and its “three rings of steel.” The rifles feature an old-school look with white spacers between the stock and the butt pad, grip cap and ebony forend tip. The barrel is topped with fixed sights and the magazine floorplate heralds the 50th anniversary with a special design.

Where's the wood? Plastic is not walnut or laminate either. Cheaper cost is the reason for them. Don't fall for lighter weight and 'all-weather' crap.
I hope that new T/C doesn't shoot anything like the two ProHunters my father and I purchased. We had nothing but bad luck with those two rifles but other guys still swear by them. His barrel was a 270 and mine 7mm rem mag. Couldn't get them to print. Took them back to the gun dealer and they fooled with them a few days switched scopes and all manner of ammo no dice. Very disappointed. Looking at the Browning X-Bolt for this coming season. Shot a couple of them and they are really accurate. Take care folks
I have already ordered the Mossberg MVP, I can't wait to get it, its taking forever though. I don't think they are in full production yet.
Andrej:
Just get her an SKS (7.62X39) in good condition. Should run you about $300. You could go to the Ruger Mini 30, but that will run you about $700.00.
Be sure to be extra careful with the SKS. Sometimes they discharge when releasing the bolt during loading. Make sure the safety is on before jacking one in the chamber. I've killed a few deer with mine. Ethical shots are limited out to about 150 yards.
I'm with Puffy-what are they trying to do, SCARE the critter to death?
I am looking to get a rifle for my daughter this year to go deer hunting. I am set on 7.62x39 and only rifle I like is made by CZ 527. would be nice to see this caliber offered by more manufacturers.
Liam needed the Montana .460 when that alpha bully challenged him at the end in the fray.
Well,
I'm not as impressed as I have been in recent years in seing what's new from the manufactures this year. I guess it's because they've done such an outstanding job bringing us new toys out in the years past that theyy don't seem to have any innovation left. Quite disappointing collection this time around
I noticed that Winchester is bringing back the Model 71. Will that be in .348 as the previous Model 71 and if so will there be .348 ammunition for sale by major manufacturers?
Yep, nice stuff. I'll be interested to see a full review of that T/C rifle including how accurate it is.
Too much gun for whitetail hunting here in MN in the woods.
My shoulder had a spasm just looking at the bore on that Montana DGR.
Sweet looking new rifles can't wait to check them out.
