you dont see girls in lingerie holding huge antlers walking down the street. to any one who believes that this is degradeing or disrespectful to these women should remember that they chose to pose for these pictures in the clothing that they are in they were not forced to stand there and smile.

Seriously, I don't know what all the broo-ha-ha is all about. You only get to see it online. Sports Illustrated has been publishing an entire magazine dedicated to the girls of SI showing tons of more skin and I don't see anyone griping about the tainting of Basketball, baseball, football, track and field or golf. I haven't ever read about one of our known hunters or fishermen being arrested for rape, drunk driving or illegal drugs like I have many or the athletes featured in SI from time to time. So, who's the best?
For all of you who has made a negative comment or were offended by the photos of these beautiful Ladies should read bronzehunters comments.They were right on the mark.Take responsibilty for on whether you or your childern look or don't look.You'll see more at the beach or pool anyway.I personaly think they were Grrrreat!!

Can we at least verify that they are actually hunters/fishers? I'd rather see a pretty face posing with her kill than a bleached skull that came from who know where. I'm a fan of creation appreciation, but it should at least realistic.
This is one of the few who looks like the girl next door - a beauty! Not just her "great body" but her "look". Just my opinion.

To be honest with this.... I am a father of five children, and I have had them involved with huntin since my kids have been old enough to hold up a gun and shoot. This is not what the outdoors is about. The hunting and camping experience, and getting that trophy buck is what sells a "HUNTING" magazine. What kid of fathers and example are we setting for our youth. Let PLAYBOY AND HUSTLER DO WHAT THEY DO AND KEEP IT OUT OF OUR HUNTING AND OUTDOOR MAGAZINES!

Truth is, almost everyone that posted a negative comment checked out the photos before they posted their opinion. It is not for me to say whether this is right or wrong, but those young ladies did get in front of the camera clearly of their own free will. These are very tasteful and beautiful pics. If you enjoyed the photos, then they hit their mark. If you didn't, don't look...You knew what they were gonna be before you opened the web page. Nice job ladies.
If you're a guy that's offended by this, you should probably go join the "log cabin" hunting club.
There should be more about the outdoors and less about women's underwear. the (deer) racks can better appreciated without the distraction of the other racks in my opinion.
While I understand the attempt to add edge and youth to this outdoor magazine, having rack chicks calendars online and male enhancement ads in the printed magazine tells a different story.

Come on now all us older men on here had been single once befor in our lives & looked at a magazine or movie to look at some young women to get our blood pumping. I think it is a good thing to try & reach the single young male hunter maybee he will log on OL or subscribe and learn a few more things about hunting or the outdoors. Maybee a young hunter likes the calender logs on reads something about survival then in the future he runs into a spot where he can use what he learned off of OL and he saves his own life. I'm not saying this calender is a life saver but in the future it could be one of the many steps to outdoor wisdom. I think as us as older men should be a little open minded about how we judge what should be and what shouldnt be as long as some young hunter gets something out of it in the end it all the better for us older married men because it helps gather more support from the younger crowd. As I might not need to remind you that is where alot of bama's votes came from.
gee another "great original idea" from a brilliant editorial staff -this has become such a second class rag...it makes me sad when I think of the OL of my youth and realize this drivel is what has replaced a once truly great magazine with fine writing and the best pictures and most inspirational stories. Now we have girls gone wild and air-brushed bimbos holding fly-rods...Jack O'Connor would be proud guys...sheez!

I think that OL has done an injustice to all of the woman who enjoy this publication. With the political cloud over the sports we enjoy at this time in history I don't think this is the time to allianate this fast growing group of support and votes.
